Wisconsin for Christmas

I went to Wisconsin for Christmas with my family.  We stayed at my Uncle's lodge, had a whole room to myself.
Breakfast at The Lodge.
My Uncle Aaron making breakfast for us all.  Thanks!
Here's the first book I read on the trip.  It's really a really insightful first-person exploration into what it's like to be perceived as crazy and the stigma that surrounds mental disorders. Definitely worth reading.  It's also interesting to see how much treatment has developed/not changed at all since its publication in the 1970's.
A fridge full of beverages.  Mexican Coke!
On the way to my grandparent's farm we stopped at Miller'c Cheese House.  It's a Wisconsin staple.
Political sentiment outside the cheese house: "Don't tread on me" and "Re-elect no one"
Hanging out at The Farm.
Dogs!  Gizmo and KC.
My sister and I are terrible cooks/bakers.  But here's Megan attempting to make some doughnuts.
Success.
Family portraits in front of the tree.
Desserts and cookies!
My Mom's birthday is on Christmas, so we sung her "happy birthday" and she got a cake.
Here's Gizmo.
And KC.
Day 2.  Finished "The Looney-Bin Trip", started "The Alchemist".  I picked this one up on recommendation, didn't know it would have such heavy religious connotations, but the message is simple and good: follow your dreams, even if it's scary and there are obstacles, and things will work out. Not sure how much I believe in that for myself but it's nice to read about.
My sister got me a Justin Bieber toothbrush for Christmas.  Thanks a heap.
Gizmo got some pj's.
Cute!
BB gun shooting.
Nailing soda cans left and right.
Then I went inside and watched "A Christmas Story", pretty ironic after playing with a BB gun.
Lots of family.
Then pool back at The Lodge.
Always nice to get together over the holidays, but definitely psyched to be home.  The premier is tomorrow, New Years, maybe a California trip early January... time will tell.

Here I Am

No updates for a while.  Here's what has happened lately:
-Finished school, which went really well.  One more semester and then I'll have graduated.
-Skating has not been going well, mostly due to snow, snow, and snow.
-I've been working, hanging out, and shoveling spots only to have them snowed on shortly after.  I need to get out of Colorado soon.

In positive news, the DVD of the new Denver Shop video is done.  Premier is in one week!
Feels good!
I also looked at the new thrasher while I was in The Shop.
David coming through with a sick ad, shot by Ty Bush!
Abdias also killing it, with another ad by Ty Bush.  Get paid Ty!
This rail looks so fun. Rails....mmmmmmmmmm.
I'm going to Wisconsin until Tuesday, then I'll be back for the premier December 29th!

Yeah

It's the first time I've gotten to skate in a week and a half (due to snow).  Denver Park was mostly wet, but we made do.  Good to get back on the board.
Ryan and I at Lenny's
Then I went to The Shop. Paul and I watched Eastern Exposure 3.
We got new hoodies at The Shop.  Pretty cool!  We also got this same design as a shirt.
Then I went and booked the Mayan for the premier.  So psyched, it's officially going to happen!
Reality check.  I'm only done with 4 out of 5 classes, and of course the last class left is the most important one.  30 page paper on Woolf, due Monday.  Hopefully I'll get that Summa!

Birthday

Shardy took me out to Cici's for my birthday.  No, those balloons were not for me.  Thanks Justin!
It was too wet/cold to skate, so we went to The Shop to check out editing.  Whitney and Tony are really coming through.
New crispy!
Watched the new Shake Junt video.  Herman, Reynolds, and Dollin got my psyched.
Blurry photo of ice cream.  It's my birthday, I can have ice cream in the middle of the day.
Anna got me this book.  So good, I'm already almost finished.  I've read Eating Animals by Foer, and his fiction is equally as amazing as his non-fiction.  Highly recommended, a page turner, etc.  Check it out, especially before the movie comes out.  Movies are never as good as the book.
Birthday dinner at Blue Bonnet.
My food.
Then we went to Charlie Browns for drinks.  Natalie bought me a birthday cake.  She's too nice.
A good time was had by all.
Thanks to everyone for making my birthday so great.  I'm old now.
