Here I Am

No updates for a while.  Here's what has happened lately:
-Finished school, which went really well.  One more semester and then I'll have graduated.
-Skating has not been going well, mostly due to snow, snow, and snow.
-I've been working, hanging out, and shoveling spots only to have them snowed on shortly after.  I need to get out of Colorado soon.

In positive news, the DVD of the new Denver Shop video is done.  Premier is in one week!
Feels good!
I also looked at the new thrasher while I was in The Shop.
David coming through with a sick ad, shot by Ty Bush!
Abdias also killing it, with another ad by Ty Bush.  Get paid Ty!
This rail looks so fun. Rails....mmmmmmmmmm.
I'm going to Wisconsin until Tuesday, then I'll be back for the premier December 29th!

Greeley

David met me in Thornton as  I got off work so that we could begin a journey to the desolate town north east of Denver known as Greeley.

When we arrived in Greeley, we found these hooligans chilling at some perfect ledges.  I was wondering why everyone wasn't skating, but I soon discovered that skating ledges in 100 degree heat sucks.
Ryan got two tricks here before we even showed up!
I skated the ledges for what felt like two hours.  It was not fun.  Thanks to Brando for sticking through the heat and filming all of us.
After I was done skating a couple of us decided to run through the sprinklers to cool off.  Poor mans Water World.
Rainbows!
I've never been to this restaurant before.  Ryan bought my burrito here, although I should've bought his for killing it.  Next time!
The gateway...
to a really good set.
David warms up.
But Shardy was the one who walked away with a banger on this thing.  People are going to be so psyched to see his part.
There are only three spots (that we know of/ go to) in Greeley, and we always go to them in the same order.  Ledges, 10 stair, bump.
Whitney got emo, but these two kept it positive and walked away with a trick each on the bump.  If you're counting, that's two tricks for Shardy and three for Ryan in one day!  Nice work guys!

Hot One

I skated Denver Park for hours in the sun.  Chad Lewis was there, practicing front boards.
We finally left the park for some street spots.  Brendan got a rad trick here!
We perped this thing.  Pretty big/sweet.
After that we met up with Jan at this spot.  There was no shade here, it was terrible.
If you follow the blog, you might think I only eat at Chipotle.  And you would be right about that.
After skating I went to support my friends' band Citizen at their show.
This looks like a band photo that would be inside the album pamphlet.  So hardcore!

Half-Day

Joey, Shardy, and I went to City O' City for breakfast.  They serve the best chai.
After that we went to Greenwood Village Skatepark.  It is, and forever will be, terrible.
Jesse was there.
And Owen.
This was the only cool thing that happened there.  Backflip!
Smoke break outside Taco Bell on the way to Parker.
So fun!
David killed it.
Then my camera died.  Bummer wave.

The Piano Man

I met up with Max, Aaron, and Buck at Swift's for some breakfast.  They informed me about the new HeyTell phenomenon.  Pretty interesting stuff.
After that we cruised over to Buck's, where he played the piano and we both sung great hits like Vienna by Billy Joel and Your Song by Elton John.  He's quite talented.
Denver Park with Aaron and Max.  Aaron's homemade Kansas City Chiefs shirt was turning heads.
Game of S-K-A-T-E to start things off.
Max got some insane lines here.
Then we went to Auraria to skate.  I was in spectator mode.
Max let me wear his hat for a minute.
What to do!?
Mike figured it out and got a really good one.  Great job Mikey!
Right after the session ended my homie showed up.
After we were done skating we went to Streets of London/Famous Pizza.  Aaron asked me to order an entire pizza for him and Max and bring it over to Streets.  While I waited for Aaron's pizza to cook, I ate my own slices.
Aaron and Max were really excited about eating a fresh Famous pizza inside Streets, which houses it's own pizzeria.  When Aaron grabbed the condiments from Streets to use on his Famous pizza, the guy came over and told him that if he wanted to eat a pizza from somewhere else he could use their condiments.  It was pretty hilarious.
David beat Abdias in pool three times.  Face of a champion.
Kehoe bought some rocks that he was pretty proud of.
Skated this school for a couple of minutes.
And then we went to Denver Park to skate with Derek one last time before he moves to Los Angeles.
Sad to see you go Derek.

Back To Skating

I off my plane and pretty much headed straight to Denver Park.
We headed to this rail.
Ernie and John were chilling for a bit.
And then Ernie nailed this sweet caveman.
Abdias and David checked it out.
David with a role reversal.
More rails!
Big set!
These two weren't feeling the 13.
But Ernie was!
"So...where do we go now?"
 Another rail.
 And then one more.
David nailed a quick bondo job.
I rewarded myself with some ice cream.
Joey and a sun-burned Mason met up to indulge with me.
