Broken Hands and Vomit

I had a my last midterm Friday morning, so I celebrated by getting a really good meal at Vitamin Cottage.  Vegan enchiladas and kombucha.
After lunch I met up with Ryan at Denver Park.
He was killing it!
The Greer's showed up too.
We checked out this spot.  There's a couple options here.  It's always fun to at least try to skate new things.  It gets pretty hard when you skate the same city all the time, but there is definitely stuff around if you're willing to look and try.
Classic spot, although this day is for sure my most memorable moment here.  Justin was trying a trick on the hip, and after trying it for a bit he had a meltdown, throwing his board and screaming.  We've all been there, but this time was particularly interesting because he chose to punch a concrete pillar at the spot.  He broke his hand, and was immediately in pain, and definitely couldn't skate anymore...
He begins walking away from the hip, and starts throwing up everywhere!  Here's proof!
He laid down after a while, lit up a cigarette and some of the devil's lettuce, and was feeling a bit better.  Lesson learned the hard way J-Greer.  But definitely a new classic story.
After that I went to The Shop.  Tony and Whitney hard at editing.
While they were doing stuff, I looked at the new Thrasher.  Such a good one!
David has a new ad.
Grant Taylor kills it!  Skating the middle of a rail!? Wow.
This photo is insane.  I didn't really get it until I read the caption.  He gaps out past that curb.  He must have been going so fast to clear that distance.  So good!
Tony updated his iPhone and was freaking out that he lost his Angry Birds app.  Old people should not use technology.
Then I caught dinner with Whitney, Paul, and Alex.  The dinner conversation was hilarious.
Also, rumor is The Denver Shop has a semi-locked down premier date of December 29th at The Mayan.  3 years in the making, I'm very excited about this.

Saturday

Woke up real early and met up with Justin to catch up.  Still the best dude out if you were wondering.
Then we picked Mason up and cruised to Denver Park.  The Saturday morning crew at Denver park is pretty consistent and awesome.
Vitamin Cottage is one of my new favorite places.  Good stuff, good prices, what's not to love?
Then we met up with Joey and Whitney at the RTD station.  Kicked out practically immediately, like usual.  We should really never go here again.
Then this ledge.  The debate over this thing is wether it is a hubba or a ledge.  My argument is that it is a ledge because hubba's are down stairs.  Either way, it's tall and hard to skate.  Adam Brown tailslide this thing almost 10 years ago... wow.

Fights with Girls

I went to the new Northglenn park.  Very fun!
Chad, Shardy, and Jamie ripped.
Then Shardy, Chad, and I went to Chipotle for lunch.
Then we skated Zuni park.
The three of us had a good time.
The parks were fun, but we needed some street action.
The homies got some warm ups...
Then the cops showed up because it was reported that we were, "fighting girls with our skateboards". The cops were super cool once they realized we were definitely just having a good time and not fighting anyone.  They sweated J Greer a little about his socks though.
Horchata!
Then we skated downtown for a bit.
Cory ready for action.
Greg Knight showed up super randomly on his bicycle.
Whitney tried to get down here but it started raining.
Then Shardy and I got some pizza and watched the Hot Wax video.

El Pueblo

I got up at 7:30 a.m. to go on a day trip to Pueblo to skate with the crew.
Had to pick Joey up on the way.
We met up in Castle Rock with these dorks.  Jump rope and stretching to get ready.
First spot!
The session was short lived due to the fact that Garrett broke his pinkie.
"Uhhh, I think it's broke"
Garrett took it like a G and decided to keep skating the rest of the day.  We made a popsicle splint and he proceeded to get buck on this obstacle.
Greg got his too.
Lunch to celebrate the tricks already gotten.
Then we went on a Fulfill the Dream type journey to the Pueblo quarter pipe.  If that metaphor doesn't make sense to you, watch this.  And if it does, watch that anyways.
We've arrived!
The spot doubles as Pueblo's water world!
Shredding commences.
Peanut gallery.
Winners circle.
Then on to a nice gap.
Victory!
Greg got weird on some train gaps.
Last spot of the day. Thanks to the Pueblo crew for showing us around.
When we got back to Denver I went and got a nice meal by myself.  BBQ tofo sandwich!
Then I went to a party for a couple minutes.
Good work everyone!  Can't wait for the video...
