Food, Skating, Party

On Saturday I went to the People's Food Justice Summit held at Kepner Middle School in the Westwood neighborhood of Denver.  I went to learn about what organizations and communities are doing about food inequalities in Denver, because I am doing one of my independent studies on food deserts in our city.  The summit was really informative, I got a lot out of it.
At all the food events I've been to, there is always amazing food.  These people really practice what they preach and make what they love, delicious and healthy food.  I had a breakfast burrito, strawberries, apples, yogurt with granola and blueberries, and orange juice.
This is a picture of the breakout session held by Denver Urban Gardens.  They have nearly 120 gardens in the Denver-Metro area, promote farmers markets, and teach children how to grow and eat well.  Some of the people in my group attend Fairview Elementary, where they have a farmers market selling food they grow at the school.  So cool!
After I handled my academic work for the day, I had to go to Denver Park.  Still the best place ever.
Met up with these two at this abandoned mini-golf course.
I filmed Shardy nail it.
Then onto this spot.  I really hate how short the days are getting, it makes it so hard to skate more than two spots in a day.  I'm going to start skating at 8 or 9 a.m. just to make the days count.
Dinner.
I came home after skating and arrived to find a surprise. Ryan Lovell sent me a package all the way from Kansas City!
I got an Escapist shirt, some budget whiskey that was half drank, a dollar bill, a tech-deck, and other random stuff.  I'm really excited to go out and film in this shirt.
Then I went to a Halloween party.  No, I didn't dress up.  Mason did though.  Eazy-E.
Keith was Wayne.  He is also holding the cutest puppy ever.  Thanks for hosting again Keith.
 Tyler was a cat-burglar.
Omar was the karate-kid.
Mike as Bob Dylan.
Ryan and Steph as dead people (?)
Natalie as a tootsie-roll, Joey as himself wearing a sombrero.

Nate Sherwood and the Hit and Run

Jason and I went and got coffee, it was nice to catch up with him.  It had been a while.
After that I hit up Denver Park.
The session got a lot more awesome once I realized Nate Sherwood was there!  This guy has so much energy and is super nice.  So random seeing him at Denver Park.
He even let me film some random tricks of him.  Pressure flips will never die.
Then it was on to The Shop to meet up with everybody.
Tony decided to eat some weird stuff at the first spot.
Nate killed it.
We ended our skate day at Chipotle.
I went back to The Shop to set up a new whip.  Ryan approves.
Ice cream!
Ryan and I watched New Blood, which was awesome.  So good!
I fifth wheeled it with these people at Steuben's.
Joey and I carpooled to dinner.  When we came back to his place, my car looked like this.  Pretty sweet!
Don't worry, it'll only be about $2000 to fix it.

Super Bass

Justin and I went to Snarf's Sub Shop.  It was my first time, and I had a positive experience.  Definitely will be returning.
Edgewater Park.  We skated here for about 20 minutes until it started raining.
Couldn't skate in the rain, so we checked out some rails.
This thing.
Vitamin Cottage for snacks and hydration.
We went to The Shop to visit Tony.  We were well received.
He just plays Angry Birds all day.
The rain let up so we went to Tabor Center.  Really fun rail.
Justin and Steve practicing their new handshake.
The man of the hour.  Go Tyler go!
The motivation... Super Bass!
Shardy got this line first go.
Nate won five bucks for nailing his trick right before the storm came back.
 Session over.
Static III and pizza with Shardy.
Party time!
Ryan moved into a new place and had a housewarming party.
Ryan's new literature.  Doesn't thinking about weed defeat the purpose?
Zach reps the Shire hard.
