Saturday

Woke up real early and met up with Justin to catch up.  Still the best dude out if you were wondering.
Then we picked Mason up and cruised to Denver Park.  The Saturday morning crew at Denver park is pretty consistent and awesome.
Vitamin Cottage is one of my new favorite places.  Good stuff, good prices, what's not to love?
Then we met up with Joey and Whitney at the RTD station.  Kicked out practically immediately, like usual.  We should really never go here again.
Then this ledge.  The debate over this thing is wether it is a hubba or a ledge.  My argument is that it is a ledge because hubba's are down stairs.  Either way, it's tall and hard to skate.  Adam Brown tailslide this thing almost 10 years ago... wow.

Kansas City's Own

Ryan Lovell, the King of the Road legend, was in Denver for the weekend with his family.

Here he is with his lovely girlfriend, Loren.
We migrated to the piano bar, Sing Sing.  Ryan was so excited about it he yelled at Loren.
It was Ryan's brother's birthday.  Happy birthday Rob!
My song request that I don't think they fulfilled.
Always great seeing anyone from Kansas City, best people out there.  Lovell is sending me an Escapist shirt for me to film in for their new video due out in Spring 2012.  Should be fun!

Two Spots

Met up with the dudes at this spot.  Ledge and a gap, nothing exciting.
But there was this cool parking block thing happening there.  Alex and Garret got down.
Great minds think/dress alike.
Police station ditch.  Fun and shady.  I can't believe we came here so much this summer when it was 95+
Garret, Joey, and Whitney watching stuff on the iPhone.
Garret's senior photo is now handled.  Your parents can pay me later.
Jesse showed up.  Really good to see him again.  He crushed this spot.
Then I saw this man walking his dog while lifting weights.  Pretty weird.

Insanity

Solo session at Denver Park.  Felt really good to be there nice and early, it had been too long.
Then, I went to Vitamin Cottage, where I bought a new water bottle, and some good food.
Met up with Joey to head to the new Montbello park.
Yep.  Pretty concisely built, but it does have really good ledges to learn on, and some fun transition.  There were some hooligans there who tried to steal another skaters wallet and ended up throwing mulch at Joey.  There isn't much you can do when I child calls you a dumbass and throws things at you.
Nailing it.

Burritos!
Dave's insanity sauce.  A little too much for me.
Denver Store for hanging out.
We headed to these ledges.  Didn't accomplish anything but it was fun to dork around.
Then yogurt-land, which I tried to buy for Joey, but he wouldn't let me.  I guess it's not a date.  Friend-zone again!

What Did the Cake Say to the Duck?

I went and visited my Dad at work.  He's always killing it.  If anyone in Colorado needs a house, he's your guy.
New tires, 600 or so dollars later.  Gotta pay to play, or something.
Then I went to the post office to mail Noel a package of anthrax.
The Shop, always popping off with DU bros.
Then I met Paul at Steve's, an awesome hot-dog joint on Colfax.  The customer can substitute any dog with a veggie dog.  Awesome!  Thanks for the recommendation Paul.
The Man and some food.
Then we cruised to Dayton Park.
After skating I went over to do some tutoring with the kids at Mercy House.  Noelia wrote my name out in wood blocks.
Very well done.
 Then ice cream with Mason!
After that I cruised home and looked at the thank-you letters the kids made me.  I'm really glad that I have the opportunity to work with these kids, and I suggest everyone try some sort of new volunteering experience.  I'm sure you're all busy, but you'll be amazed with the experiences and feelings you get exposed to.
Noelia tells me this same joke every week.  Super funny!

Meta Montage

Those Meta dudes are always putting something out. Here's a recent montage featuring Max, Davis, Jack, and a bunch of other rad dudes putting it down for Meta. Keep it up Sam!
