We Out Here - Day 4

Saturday morning.
I left my camera in the car during the second day of Crossroads because I thought I would be skating.  But that's a whole 'nother story all together.

Then Pete and and I went to the pet store to get kibbles for Carlito.
Pets!
I walked to Carl's Jr. for dinner.
BBQ.
Jake passed out early.
Tie-Dye bros.
I went back with Sam and Chase to their house and watched A Happy Medium 2.  Pretty sweet/weird.

We Out Here - Day 3

Here Lannie is setting up his booth at Crossroads.
I went and got some pizza.
Ty and his friend Patrick we're at Crossroads too. We went to Rubio's to get away from the madness.
Madness.
Pete and Nick riding the Google bike.
Colorado made an appearance.
Sam too!
Insight art show.
Pete and a ray of light.
I cruised home and walked Carlito.

We Out Here - Day 1

I'm on a one week adventure in San Diego, California.  I'll try to update the blog as often as possible.

Denver International Airport.  Pretty stock, nothing cool going on here.
I had to read this book for my first week of classes, which start on the 22nd.  Luckily between the pre-flight, flight, and post-flight airport time, I was able to finish it.  Menand presents some pretty interesting insights about the state of higher education in America, particularly how liberal arts eduction does not prepare students for real-life careers.  I'm really glad that I read it going into my senior year of my liberal arts education... a day late and a dollar short.
Lunch after I landed.
Passenger pickup at San Diego.
Jimmy came through and picked me up.  He is high energy all the time.
Downtown San Diego and the bay.
Jimmy and I got lunch at a burrito spot.
Chilling at Black Box with Ian, Kyle, and Pete.
Pete's got some motor bikes.
Ian and Pete ready to roll.
Black Box park.  So sick!
Pete and Kyle killed it.
After skating we headed to Pete's.
We skated to the store to get supplies for dinner.
I got a coke, banana, tortillas, and peanut butter.
Carlito is such a well behaved dog.
Ty came over and kicked it too.
And then I watched It's Kind Of A Funny Story.

Mormon Kombat Part 1

Henri and I woke up and walked to Starbucks/Jamba Juice to get our breakfast on.
After that we went back to Joey's and watched Henri's YouTube videos, which are pretty funny.
Then I watched this.  So gnarly!
Finally Mike and David picked me up, so we could begin our journey into the land of Joseph Smith.  Utah!
We met up with the rest of the team, and Sam and Sasha quickly jumped into our car.
He was having too much fun with that water gun.
We checked out the 17.  The Twins still hold it down on this thing.  Those dudes are too gnarly.
Surprisingly, no one wanted to jump down a 17 for the first spot, so we went to this school.  David plays guitar while Sasha hucks.
After driving out to Montbello, we thought we wouldn't be able to skate because of the puddle in the landing.  But everyone just ended up skating the other side, and everything worked out well.
Except for this frog, who died a tragic death at the bottom of the four block.
I got Pete to stack some footage here.
Everyone watching the footage after an awesome trick goes down is the best part.
Gas station stop.
Jimmy's belly shirt.
We tried to skate one last spot before we left town, but the rain came down hard here.
We stopped at Target to load up on snacks for the drive.
Ryan bought an entire chicken for the drive.  Big boy!
My snacks are a lot less gluttonous.
Driving into the sunset.
Made it to Wyoming.
Soccer break to make sure our legs still work.
Dave was pretty proud of his urine specimen.
The McDonald's lobby was closed, so Dave and I walked up.
It was totally worth it.
After almost 9 hours on the road, we made it to Salt Lake City, Utah.
To be continued in part 2...
