Washington D.C.

Got this room all to myself

It's Always Sunny In Colorado

Today was great.  I met up with Luke early, he bought me coffee, then we went to Commerce City Park.  After that, I went street skating with Tony which was fun.  I didn't take any pictures for some reason, so I started taking them at Denver Park.  I mean really, where else?

Everyone was in town for the premier of It's Always Sunny In Colorado, so D Park was popping off.  Clay and Nial were there.
 David.
Kansas locals.  Doug always keeps it fresh.
Max and Aaron showed up with some Chiefs jerseys.
 Stoots and Orion.
 Aurora natives Temuchin and Chad.
After Denver Park I headed to The Shop.
We had the new Thrasher, which is amazingly good.
David has a sick new ad, nice work buddy.
I got to see the trailer for the premier.  Tony and Whitney did a nice job of the editing.  August 2011!?!?  We can do it, I hope.
I was walking to the bank and saw this longboard chicks board get run over.  It's moments like that when you're glad you always have a camera on your person.
Luke bought me a burrito.  Thanks Luke.
After dinner I had to deliver the trailer to the premier.
The men of the hour, and the woman who supports one of them.  Great work guys!
 How exciting!
I ran into the Denver Shop team manager, Alex Brown.  He didn't kick me off or anything, so he's a great guy.
Kathy, Shad, and Ty Bush.  Shad killed it!
 Denver Shop dudes.
After the first showing, I called Noel to fill him in on the details.  Meanwhile, Luke found this ironic rock.  Get it?
Colorado Springs!  Debow showed a trailer for his upcoming video, Queen City.  The trailer was awesome, can't wait to see it!
I was taking a photo of Joey and Jesse, and Cory just crept in there.
Mike Katz and his girlfriend, who made me take this photo twice.  It was nice to see him.
Shardy and Becca, my two favorite.  Classic Shardy, hiding behind a pole.  He prefers to not be seen or heard.
 Kansas dudes!
Cory Miller with the Miller table.  Sometimes you have to take obvious photos.
Max, Aaron, Ernie, and Jari!  Great bunch of people.
Ryan Lorenz and his ginger beard.
 Nice looking quite stoic.
This photo of Jamie Craig has perfect timing.
 The under 21 section.  Losers.
And the actual video, which was awesome.  It didn't feel like the average skate video, where there are clearly segmented parts.  It flowed really well from parts into montages into parts.  The skating was awesome, and although there were some heavy "bangers", my favorite part was all the really sick lines people had.  Great soundtrack as well.  Good work Buck, Derek, Kehoe, and Shad!

Odd Tuesday

This past Tuesday I didn't have too much to do, so I went to Barnes and Noble to use a gift card my mom got for me.  I picked up this gem of a book while I was there.  It's written by two nutritionalists, so it gives a robust presentation of the benefits of a vegetarian/vegan diet while also providing recipes, and even a section on diplomacy.  So when some stranger says, "Well, you're not getting enough protein in your diet", I will have a better answer than, "Shut up".  I should've gotten this a year ago!
 Denver Park!
After skating D Park, David, Justin, Cory, and I went out street skating for a bit.  These are two items David keeps in his car at all times.
I packed a really awesome sack lunch, consisting of a banana, two clementines, grapes, a granny-smith apple, and a peanut-butter and honey sandwich.
Got to skate here for about 20 minutes, then mother nature moved in.  Bummer wave.
David took us to this really cool restaurant that serves Native American food. It's called Tocabe, and I'll be going back soon.
After the rain cleared up when headed back to D Park, where I ran into these clowns.
And then I went to class.

Easter Sunday

I did the typical Easter thing with my family.  We went to church, and then ate this awesome meal.  Fruit salad, cinnamon roll, vegetable mix, and cheesy potatoes.  I'm also pretty excited there are a lot of left overs for me to eat all week.
After lunch I drove to Sheridan park to meet up with all the guys.  We had a really fun session!
Justin killed it with this benihana transfer.
After skating the park, we checked out this bank spot.  It would be really awesome if the curb at the bottom wasn't there.  We still had fun regardless.
Then another session at this spot.  Peanut gallery.
My favorite photos are these happy ones where seven dudes huddle around a three inch screen to watch the awesome trick that someone just did.  Nice work Dan!
Tonka put in some work on this set.
Here's a photo of a photo Justin took.  Tonka go boom.
And then it all ended with some rain.  Bummer wave.

Karaoke

Saturday night karaoke at this place.
P Gar is one of my favorite people to go to karaoke with, but this week him an many others bailed.  I understand where they are coming from, but they are going to have to make up for it times two next time we go.
While I was waiting for the stupid Nuggets game to end so the singing could start, I whooped everyone in pool.  Patrick first.
 Then I beat Megan.
 Then I beat Bridget.
Then Patrick hit the stage.  Nice work!
This coming Saturday I'll be in Washington D.C., but every Saturday after that karaoke is going down!
